Anyone who is a parent of a school age child has probably received a call from a school nurse telling them their child isn't feeling well and needs to be picked up.  That usually involves either leaving work or finding someone to pick the child up and take them to the doctor—when you can get them in.  Once the patient is on medication, it can be another day before they can return to school.

A food drive that’s underway is focused on bringing healthy food options to those who rely on local food pantries for help.

CoxHealth’s healthy food drive will benefit Crosslines, a local food pantry that serves around 3600 people in the Ozarks each month, and pantries operated by Christian Action Ministries in Branson.

Suggested items for donation include no-sugar-added applesauce, 100 percent fruit cups, low-sodium or no-salt-added canned vegetables, reduced sodium spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, brown rice, whole wheat noodles, canned chicken and dried beans.
