Once again this holiday season Springfield Little Theatre at the Landers, 311 E. Walnut, is producing Phillip Grecian's stage adaptation of humorist Jean Shepherd's now-classic A Christmas Story, which first saw the light of day in 1983 as a theatrical movie.

We had a fun time in the KSMU studio this morning attempting to keep control of a live interview with the director and two (adult) actors from Springfield Little Theatre’s season-opening production of the classic, Tony-winning musical Peter Pan: director Andy Willadsen, and actors Jeff Jenkins (the pirate Smee) and Aaron Campbell (in the dual role of Mr. Darling and Captain Hook).

Springfield Little Theatre at the Landers, 311 E. Walnut, presents the stage musical version of "Little Shop of Horrors," with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, based on the cult-classic Roger Corman film.  Opening tonight (Friday May 20th), the production continues through June 5th.

Springfield Little Theatre has just opened its production of the stage-musical version of the 1992 film comedy Sister Act at the Landers Theatre, 311 E. Walnut.  The production runs through April 3rd: Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm, with two additional Saturday 2:30pm matinees on March 26 and April 2.

Springfield Little Theatre at the Landers, 311 E. Walnut, presents "Disney's Alladin Jr." February 18-28, based on the 1992 Disney animated film.  This is actually LT's second go-round with this version of Alladin, designed specifically to be performed by a cast ages 18 and younger, and intended for family audiences with an approximately 70-minute running time.  LT first performed Alladin Jr. in 2007.  Lorianne Dunn, the show's director, was also at the helm in '07, and she says that, if possible, this year's production is "even bigger!
