Ozark Empire Fair

The Ozark Empire Fair continues through August 5 at the fairgrounds in Springfield with rides, food, exhibits and more.

The Springfield Chapter of the Missouri Trout Fishermen’s Association will host the Branson Fly Fishing Expo today and tomorrow (7/28-7/29) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Branson-Hollister Lions Club, 1015 E. State Highway 76 in Branson.  The event will feature demonstrations, vendors and a raffle. 

The Professional Car Society

The Professional Car Society’s International Meet will be held tomorrow (7/22) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cowan Civic Center, 500 E. Elm in Lebanon.  The car club is designated to the preservation of vintage hearses, ambulances and limousines.  The public's invited to a car show tomorrow, and admission is free. KSMU's Michele Skalicky talked with the club's president, Tony Karsnia of Minnesota, about the meet.

Watershed Committee of the Ozarks

The Watershed Committee of the Ozarks will host its annual Summer Gala tomorrow night (7/15) starting at 5 at the Darr Agricultural Center in Springfield.  Tickets are $45 in advance or $50 at the door.  WCO's executive director, Mike Kromrey, talked with Michele Skalicky about the fundraiser.

City of Springfield

Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield will be the site of a rescheduled Arts in the Park Concert Series performance tomorrow night (7/1).  Wings of Swing will take the stage at 7 outside the visitor center.  Take blankets or lawn chairs.  Admission is free.   And admission will be charged for another event at Wilson’s Creek tomorrow.  Artillery demonstrations will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tour Stop 5 on the Tour Road. 

CCCC Sertoma

The Friends of the Garden Butterfly Festival and Young Sprouts in the Garden will be held tomorrow (24) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center at Nathanael Greene-Close Memorial Park in Springfield.
