Event Description

Springfield-based art photographer Julie Blackmon brings a collection of her newest works back to her roots with “Midwest Materials,” a limited-run pop-up show of her celebrated images on the downtown square in Bentonville, Arkansas. Her work explores contemporary life in the Midwest, and her work is included in numerous museums and public collections from Kansas City to New York, Houston, and France. The opening reception, which is free and open to the public, is Friday, June 22, 6-8 p.m., at 102 East Central Avenue, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712 (on the square); the impromptu gallery will be open Thursdays through Sundays, from 12-8 p.m., until July 28.
