Still don't have any idea what your children will do this summer?  There's an event this week to help you out.

Sign Up for Your Summer will have representatives from a variety of organizations that offer programs and activities for children and teens when school is out from May to August.

The program, sponsored by the Springfield-Greene County Library and the Springfield News-Leader, will be held Thursday (4/6) from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library.

Claudette Riley, a News-Leader reporter and also the founder and organizer of the event, said organizations that plan to attend include Springfield Public Schools Explore program, Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield, Discovery Center, Drury University, Missouri State University, the YMCA, the Springfield-Greene County Library District, Springfield-Greene County Park Board, Springfield Art Museum, Springfield Little Theatre, Springfield Regional Arts Council and Professor Powers Science Symposium.

Parents can sign up at the event or take information home to sign up later.
