In this segment of Making Democracy Work, Allison Cash talks with Kurt Sampsel, government services associate with the nonprofit group, the Center for Technology and Civic Life and with Laclede County Clerk Glenda Mott. Sampsel is helping Laclede County improve its election website.
CTCL's mission is to use technology to enhance civic engagement throughout the country, according to Sampsel. He talks about the election website template the organization has created. He and his staff are currently helping to build a new election website in Laclede County that will be more user friendly.
Sampsel says he found that about 52 of the 115 election authorities in Missouri have no election website at all and others are inefficient.
