VA Clinic Planned for Springfield

troymedia.com

Randy Hoops talks with Jacque Long, facility planner for the Veteran's Health Care System of the Ozarks, about a community-based outpatient VA clinic to be built in Springfield.

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks is currently working with the University of Missouri and the City of Mt. Vernon to establish a contract that would begin on January 1, 2015.  That would allow them to remain in their current space for three years during construction and activation of a new clinic in Springfield, according to Long.

The new clinic, which will offer primary care, mental health, lab, radiology, sleep studies, optometry, audiology, pharmacy and more, is expected to open in 2017.
