Empty Bowls will be held today (9/29) from 4:30 to 8 at Panera Bread, 4100 S. Campbell in Springfield, to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest.  Michele Skalicky sat down with OFH spokesperson Christine Temple to talk about this year's event.

Harvest Fest at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park kicks off tonight (9/29) and runs through October 29.  The event will include a corn maze, a haunted trail, hay rides, a pumpkin patch and more. 

The Diary of Anne Frank continues through October 4 in the Craig Hall Balcony Theater at Missouri State University. 

The Full Steam Ahead: Garden Railway Expo will be held tomorrow (9/30) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Library Station, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway in Springfield.  Learn the basics of starting your own miniature railway.  There will also be kids’ activities, train kit pieces trading, a train layout and more. 

A NASA Public Observing Night will be held tomorrow night (9/30) from 7:30 to 10:30 at Baker Observatory near Marshfield.  Look at available planets, double stars, star clusters, nebulas and galaxies through a variety of telescopes.

Herb Alpert and Lani Hall will give a concert at the Gillioz Theater tomorrow night (9/30) at 8. 

Four permanent sculptures at Jordan Valley Park in Springfield will be revealed tomorrow (9/30) during anevent from ten to noon.  It will feature a “prancercise” to each sculpture at 10:30 and live music. 

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge will host theGreat Arkansas Cleanup tomorrow morning (9/30) from 9 to noon.  Help clean up litter in downtown Eureka Springs. 

A fundraising concert and art and craft silent auction will be held tomorrow night at Harrison High School to benefit Hope Cottages for homeless women and children.  Doors open at 6.

The program, Welcoming Fall Colors, will be held tomorrow morning (9/30) at 10 at the Shepherd of the Hills Hatchery in Branson.  Find out what you can expect, including the variety of colors, wildlife interactions and even learn about wild edibles. The Library Station, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway in Springfield, will host Rollin’ Down the River with Larry Campbell Sunday afternoon (10/1) at 2 for adults.  Campbell, professor emeritus of mathematics at Missouri State University, will discuss his trip chronicled in his new book, "Rollin' Down the River: Discovering People and Places Along the Missouri River." Books will be available for purchase and signing. 

Kids will learn how to weave on a loom during the program, Artful Weaving for Kids, Sunday afternoon (10/1) at 2 at the Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell in Springfield. 

Primitive Skills Sunday will be held from 1 to 5 Sunday (10/1) at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.  See demonstrations in flint knapping, bow and arrow construction, making cordage out of plant fibers, beadwork and fire making.
