Darr College of Agriculture

Do you like growing your own plants, fruits and vegetables? Then the upcoming Greenhouse and High Tunnel Workshop at Missouri State University’s (MSU) Fruit Experiment Station in Mountain Grove might just be for you.

Scheduled from Oct. 12-13, 2017, the workshop is a joint effort among Missouri State’s Darr College of Agriculture, University of Missouri Cooperative Extension and Lincoln University.

Within walking distance of the Missouri State University (MSU) campus, sits the MSU Campus Garden, which began operation in 2011.

It is located at 930 East Normal St., across from Plaster Stadium

Cady Goble and Kara Powelson, both students in MSU's Darr College of Agriculture, are the current garden managers. They share more about the garden and plans for the fall season.

With spring comes gardening and if you’re looking to buy seeds or plants to grow, put Missouri State University’s upcoming Plant Sale from May 4-6, 2017, on your calendar.

Held each spring for more than 15 years, Dr. Clydette Alsup-Egbers, associate professor of environmental plant science from MSU’s Darr College of Agriculture, leads the event with help from her students.
