Stanley Dobbins

City of Branson

Branson has a new city administrator.  The city’s Board of Aldermen voted to promote Branson police chief, Stanley Dobbins, to the position effective January 1.

Dobbins has served as interim city administrator and police chief since May 24, after the departure of former city administrator William Malinen.

Branson Mayor Karen Best says the board of aldermen chose Dobbins because of “the excellent leadership skills he exhibited” while serving in the dual roles. She says he knows the community’s goals and can hit the ground running.

The City of Branson has a new police chief.  After a national search, a panel chose Stanley Dobbins for the position.  Dobbins has been serving as the interim chief of police since former chief Kent Crutcher retired in May.  He was one of four final candidates selected by a panel of police chiefs from across the state.
