Storytelling Festival

A Storytelling Festival will be held tonight (8/25) from 6 to 8 and tomorrow (8/26) from 11 to 3 at the George Washington Carver National Monument in Diamond, MO. 

Entrance fees will be waived today (8/25) at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield and other national parks to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the National Park Service’s founding.

George Washington National Monument will host a Storytelling Festival tonight (8/26) from 6 to 8 and tomorrow (8/27) from 11 to 3.  Emmy Award-winning storyteller, Bobby Norfolk, will share stories about York from the Lewis and Clark expedition, Loretta Washington will share Missouri African American folktales and traditional stories, Al Bostick will tell stories about the Buffalo Soldiers and Marideth Sisco will share Ozark folktales and stories.  To learn more,  KSMU's Michele Skalicky talks with Randall Becker, supervisory p
